BOBCAT’S SMALLEST SKID-STEER LOADER, THE S70
Bobcat’s new S70 skid-steer loader measures just 71.4 inches high, 35.4 inches wide and 75.5 inches long without an attachment, making it particularly useful for work in tight job sites. With an operating weight of 2,845 pounds, the S70 is also easy to transport.
The S70 has a rated operating capacity of 700 pounds. The 23.5-hp diesel engine powers a fully hydrostatic, four-wheel drive system with delivers a travel speed of 6.1 miles per hour. The new engine mount reduces vibration in the machine for greater operator comfort. A new hydrostatic pump system reduces maintenance and increases uptime.
The new belt tensioner features more robust components and a simpler design that uses technology from larger Bobcat loaders. The belt is more durable and decreases maintenance time.
The S70 includes the Bob-Tach attachment system and a 14-pin attachment control kit for use with 35 different Bobcat attachments. The S70 has a transversely mounted engine and a tip-up cab for easier access when the machine needs to be serviced. The centre-mounted, maintenance-free chain-case allows the S70 to travel through deep mud and other areas more easily because of its keel-shaped belly pan. The axle housings are fixed and welded to the chaincase, eliminating maintenance related to tightening bolts or other chain adjustments.
